Overview
We tried to make our electrical subsystems of both our COACH and PLAYER as simple as possible to avoid spending too many all-nighters in the SPDL. We used 2 PIC16F690 microcontollers to power our controller, and a Freescale Adapt9S12-E128 micro with 1 PIC16F690 on our hovercraft. Both components utilized synchronous SSP and asynchronous SCI communications for various aspects of operation, and used XBee modules to wirelessly communicate with one another.
